The Benefits of Reiki Energy

Reiki is an energy healing practice that can bring about peace and relaxation, and can actually facilitate pain relief and possible healing to the physical body. Reiki was founded by Mikao Usui in the early 1900s. Two Japanese words make up the term reiki: “rei” means universal and “ki” which you may have heard called “chi”. Ki or chi is the flow of a life force of energy that is a part of every living thing.

Reiki is not a religion, but rather a powerful manipulation of energy applied by one of a couple of methods. Reiki can be given in person or distantly. Many reiki masters will lay hands on or over a person to manipulate energies. I learned how to start a flow of healing reiki energy and direct it to a person or situation distantly. Yes, reiki can be sent to a situation such as a test being taken, a deal being made, or a conversation that needs to go well.

I knew a very practical young man many years ago who didn’t believe in much that could not be examined or quantified. He suffered from horribly debilitating migraines and was so desperate that he finally asked me to send him reiki healing. He called me afterward and remarked that he had no idea what I had done to him, but his pain was completely gone.

Reiki involves sacred symbols that were given to Mikao Usui and are shared as an attunement when a new reiki practitioner is gifted with the method. There are several levels leading up to becoming a reiki master. I was attuned twice as a reiki master, once through a powerful online training, and once in person. I have completed many successful reiki sessions from a distance. I don’t use Zoom or a phone call; I merely ask what needs attention and I will send the reiki. If you prefer to choose a specific day and time to relax and receive the energy, that is fine as well. Otherwise reiki is sent through time and space to its destination.
